"Italian food speaks to the soul, and it is loved around the world for its simplicity and romance. We want to show you that you don't have to be a professionally trained chef to cook great food for your family. For us, family is sacred; a strong family provides mutual love, commitment, and honesty that allows you to grow up true to yourself. We want you to remember that the kitchen, with its environment and ritual, is where the whole family is united. The ritual of the table is a family's strongest bond. It is a way of life for us. Cooking is an act of love, a gift, a way of sharing; it should be enjoyed and bring the whole family together. We want to take you on a journey through a traditional Italian meal from start to finish. We love to be inventive in the kitchen, so you will find lots of Italian Twintastico Twists on classic recipes done Alberti Style. Forza Italia!"

Sprinkling their cookbook with recipes that bring heat and spice to the kitchen, sassy quips, and seductive flavors, John and Tony Alberti deliver on their promises. From luscious and gluten-free Polenta Fries with Aioli Dip and Perfetto Polenta Cake to hearty and nutritious Twinning Tuscan Vegetable Soup, Seductive Saltimbocca made with chicken, melt-in-the-mouth Romantic Ricotta Balls, and The Big Cannoli--every recipe charms the taste buds.

Comfort foods have the power to seep straight to our innermost core: the strength emanating from a hearty breakfast on a cold winter’s morning, the beverage that fosters a long-lasting friendship, the reverence and reassurance that wafts from a religious offering, the giddy excitement that seasons a wedding feast, a soup that becomes a salve for incurable homesickness or that imperfect dessert that only reinforces our belief a sense of eternal happiness. Unassuming, ordinary, simple and familiar, comfort foods offer the recipes for solace, strength, and nourishment, facilitating an escape into the soft creases of contentment.
